Here’s a mini Maundy Thursday service. I really enjoyed this message from SarcasticLutheran.
“Hurt people, hurt people. Forgiven people, forgive people. And loved people, love people.”
Sermon
Communion
Minister: The Lord Jesus on the night when he was betrayed took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it, and said, “This is my body which is for you. Do this in remembrance of me.”
People: In the same way also the cup, after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.”
Minister & People: “For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim theLord’s death until he comes.” – I Corinthians 11:23-26
Minister: Therefore we proclaim the mystery of faith:
Minister & People: Christ has died. Christ is risen. Christ will come again.
The Prayer of Consecration / The Breaking of the Bread
Minister: Christ our Passover is sacrificed for us;
People: Therefore let us keep the feast.
Minister: The Gifts of God for the People of God. Take them in remembrance that Christ died for you, and feed on him in your hearts by faith, with thanksgiving.
