Do Not Fear

“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand” (Isaiah 41:10).

Fear is a universal crippler. No matter what gender, race, ethnicity, or religion you are, fear has the ability to stop you dead in your tracks. You can be in the midst of doing something great, about to make a move that will change your life, or about to allow yourself to fall in love for the first time in a long time…then fear shows up. Fear interrupts your life, places doubt in your heart, and even causes you to disregard the plans of greatness. Fear can imprison you and turn your world upside down.

I’m Moving On *In my Mya voice*

I love teaching, but the joy it used to bring me is no longer there. This tells me it’s time to move on. Over the last week I’ve talked to about five friends…all of them have the desire to move out of their present career paths. The amazing thing about us is none of us are attempting to just change jobs. ALL of us are attempting to follow purpose. We want to use our gifts and talents to do what we love while improving the world we live in…and get paid for it! AWESOME! KINGDOM!!!

When I graduated from college in 2004, I vowed I would never work a job I didn’t love. I spend too much time at work (read: 8-10 hours a day) to not be completely happy there. So I’m making EVERY effort possible to ensure my transition in May is as smoothly as possible. I know my crew and I aren’t the only group trying to make moves. So I thought I would share some tips I’ve picked up to make sure your transition is smooth and successful as well.

Vision + Purpose + Obedience = :-) (The Desires of My Heart)

Obedience is an amazing thing! I wanted to hit the gym and eat out today…but my gut (I call Him the Holy Spirit) kept telling me to go home and make hamburgers. Begrudgingly (I really wanted sushi), I obeyed, and I immediately saw the benefits. I had $63.78 in my account until payday Friday…and I still needed to get gas! Sushi would’ve drained me. But soon after, I saw the even greater benefits of my obedience!
