Kia’s Favorite Things: Day 3

One thing I’ve noticed about the women of my generation is we’re not afraid of the gym. While all of us don’t love it, we’re not afraid to put in the work. Blame the media for our never ending desire to be sexy or thank the media for opening our eyes to what it takes to be healthy. Either way, we’re sweating it out to get the bodies we deserve. Running and Itching; Itching and Running

According to About.com, runner’s itch is an itchy sensation in your legs that is often times so bad you must stop running. Runner’s itch usually occurs if you run after a period of inactivity and actually has to do with what is happening inside the skin and not on it. When you exercise, the capillaries and arteries inside your muscle expand to allow for the extra blood flow. The expansion of the capillaries causes the nearby nerves to send a signal to the brain that is often interpreted as itching.
