She frequently explores the intersections of media and culture and discusses their effects on society as a writer and commentator. Published nationally and internationally, Kia has interviewed U.S. ambassadors, Grammy-winning artists and New York Times bestselling authors. She has also been featured on NPR, BET and TVOne.com discussing pop culture, sex, gender identity and more.

With 15 years of public relations and communications experience, Kia has developed award-winning digital campaigns that have resulted in local and national media coverage. She routinely presents at conferences and facilitates interactive trainings on digital media and integrated communications strategies.

Kia earned a B.A. in English from Spelman College and graduated from Kennesaw State University with an M.A. in Professional Writing. She is currently pursuing a Master of Divinity from Chicago Theological Seminary. [/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
