Products I Love: Joico Moisture Recovery Conditioner
When I went to my stylist a couple of months ago, my hair was extremely dry and brittle. I had been using a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner, but it just wasn’t providing my hair with the moisture and nutrients it needed to come alive and to be glamorous. That’s when my stylist introduced me to Joico’s Moisture Recovery Conditioner. According to their website, Joico’s Moisture Recovery:
is a dry hair product that provides the first step to revitalizing thirsty hair. Unlike most other dry hair products, it features an exclusive Hydramine Sea Complex: a blend of moisture-loving ingredients from the sea that quenches overly dry hair attributed to the environment, chemical services or genetics. When used, hair emerges hydrated, smooth and manageable with increased elasticity which makes Moisture Recovery a popular choice among dry hair products. (Joico.com, 2012)
And I can testify to that. This conditioner quickly moisturizes and detangles my hair when it is nothing more than a dry, tangled and matted mess. Even my wash and go curls are more manageable and controlled when I use Moisture Recovery before going. I swear by Joico’s Moisture Recovery. It will turn carpet into silk; I promise. Plus, it’s very light and doesn’t weigh your hair down. An excellent choice for dry and/or damaged hair. And I hear they have some other great products, namely their hair vitamins.
Unfortunately, these products can only be purchased in select salons. You can visit their website (www.Joico.com) to find a location near you.
Products I Want to Try: Sally Henson’s Salon Effects Real Nail Polish Strips
I SUCK at painting my nails. There’s always a smear, smudge or a dent. And by day two, the polish is chipping and needs to be removed anyway. “Ain’t nobawdy got time fa dat!!!” So when I saw the ad for Sally Henson’s Salon Effects Real Nail Polish Strips in the May issue of Essence, I was immediately intrigued. According to the ad, you simply peel, apply and file for a salon look that lasts up to 10 days and is easily removed with nail polish remover. On top of that, the shades and designs are ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS!!! I plan on trying this in the very near future. I’ll let you know how it goes.
Products I Refuse to Try: Nicole by OPI’s Kardashian Kolor
These colors are adorable; however, I’m over Kim. Oversaturation much? I just can’t support anything she endorses, especially after the Sketchers workout shoe fiasco. But I will be watching the upcoming season of Keeping Up With the Kardashians. Judge me. I like watching train wrecks…but that’s another blog.
